More Job Cuts in Malaysia!

a wood with an axe as an example of job cuts.

Today on The Star Online, I read the news of more job cuts in Malaysia.

It seems like the situation is really not that encouraging at the moment. The job cuts will definitely affect the lives of many, whether directly or indirectly.

Towards the end of Dec 2015, I also read about the cost reduction strategies by oil and gas companies. These oil and gas companies are reducing costs by ‘readjusting’ their office space.

What I can say is that job cuts will always be there. The difference is how serious it is. That is how many employees and which business sector is affected.

As a salaried employee, I feel uncomfortable with this news. I believe all salaried employees will somehow feel worried as well. And start wondering if they will be affected by the news.

We must always be prepared financially if we are directly affected by job cuts.

At the same time, let us pray and hope that the situation of job cuts in Malaysia will be better soon.
