For this post, I will be sharing my Maybank eFixed Deposit uplifting experience. It is a continuation of my previous post on Maybank eFixed Deposit placement.
My experience of uplifting Maybank eFixed Deposit
Thirty days after my first Maybank eFixed Deposit (eFD) placement, I decided to uplift my first eFixed Deposit. My main purpose is to see and experience the uplifting process before I make more online fixed deposit placements.
And I am happy to say, my Maybank eFixed Deposit uplifting has been a smooth one.
In addition, the whole uplifting process is really easy and simple. All you need to do is to click the ‘Uplift’ button on the eFD certificate. Check the details before confirming the uplifting. Once confirmed, the amount shall be immediately uplifted to your Maybank saving account.
Just make sure you register or update your mobile number for the PAC before you continue with your online transactions.
This is an important step.
Because you can’t continue your online transaction without the PAC. It’s for security issues and never, never reveal your PAC to anyone.
And remember to delete it from your mobile right after you complete your online transaction.
Failed to uplift my Maybank eFixed Deposit
In March 2021, I failed to uplift my Maybank eFixed Deposit. I managed to log in but when I click on the ‘uplift’ button, nothing happens. I tried a few times and even tried with different devices but I still failed.
So, I contacted Maybank through Twitter. The officer advised me to try uplifting through the Classic Maybank2U. It works and I successfully uplifted my Maybank eFD.
To access the classic Maybank2U, click on the ‘Back to the classic Maybank2u’ button as shown below.
Continue to log in using the classic Maybank2u and perform your Maybank eFD uplifting.
So far, I managed to successfully uplift my Maybank eFixed Deposit through the classic Maybank2u page.
Thus, if you failed to uplift your Maybank eFixed Deposit using the normal Maybank2u, you may try to log in and uplift through the classic Maybank2u page.
Hope you’ll be able to uplift your fixed deposit successfully. Otherwise, you may reach out to Maybank for support.
Final thoughts
With that, I hope my sharing above can guide those who wish to know more about uplifting Maybank eFixed Deposit.

How do we ensure that e fixed deposit and certless fixed deposits remains active and not dormant? For those with certs, we can update at the branch….
Hi Lin, Thank you for your comment. It is a good question 🙂
Personally, this is what I practise:
1. Print out the eFixed Deposit placement/transaction and keep it safely;
2. Prevent the eFixed Deposit from ‘not operated’ by uplifting the e Fixed Deposit during the 6th year. If needed, can always make a new eFixed Deposit placement with a new reference number. This is to prevent our money from being classified as Unclaimed Moneys under the ‘Unclaimed Moneys Act 1965’.
Hope the above helps. Maybe, let me know your thought.
