In this post, I will be sharing the cheap broadband package in Taiwan compare to the expensive broadband package in Malaysia.
A huge difference between the broadband price in Taiwan and Malaysia
Last week, my sister and my bro-in-law came to visit us from Taipei, Taiwan. One of the conversations is about internet access and internet package in Malaysia.
My bro-in-law was laughing when I told him that for my home internet, I am using Streamyx 1MB with RM110 per month. While in Taipei, he is paying only NTW1100 for 100MB internet speed!
What a huge difference!

For better comparison, NTW1100 is about RM135, based on the exchange rate as of 30 November 2018.
Then, I did some goggling. Not to say to compare with Taiwan, even compare to our nearest neighbour, Singapore, we are still far behind.

Since nowadays, internet access or broadband become necessary in our daily life, the Malaysian authority should think of a more affordable broadband package for the rakyat.
Instead of offering high bandwidth at a high price, they should think of a cheap broadband package for the rakyat basic internet needs.
Nevertheless, I can see that the work is currently in progress for more affordable and more variety of cheap broadband package.
Let’s hope for a cheaper and reliable broadband package in Malaysia.
